BIMETALLIC Pt-Ni CATALYSTS SUPPORTED ON USY ZEOLITE FOR n-HEXANE ISOMERIZATION
Isomerization of linear alkanes has had considerable importance for the refining industry because the isomers formed in this reaction have high octane number. Most works reported in the literature studied the use of bifunctional catalysts, i.e., ones that have acid sites and metallic sites. In this study, bifunctional monometallic (Ni or Pt) and bimetallic catalysts (Pt-Ni), using HUSY zeolite ...
متن کاملMaximum hydrogen chemisorption on KL zeolite supported Pt clusters.
Platinum clusters supported on KL zeolites were characterized by EPR, HRTEM, and EXAFS. Two kinds of hydrogen chemisorption experiments both result in a saturation value of 2.9 hydrogen atoms per platinum atom, significantly more than that reported so far. A hydrogen coverage-dependent cluster restructuring is suggested.
متن کاملNOx Selective Catalytic Reduction over Pt Supported Catalyst Promoted by Zeolite and CeO2-ZrO2
The emission control of NOx in exhaust gases is one of the greatest engineering challenges to extend the practical and commercial application of diesel and lean burn engines. One solution is selective NOx reduction using hydrocarbons in an oxidizing atmosphere. We mainly focused on catalytic reactions under temperature excursion because of the resemblance to conditions prevailing in real automo...
متن کاملTitanium silicalite-1 zeolite microparticles for enzymeless H2O2 detection.
In this communication, we demonstrate for the first time that titanium silicalite-1 zeolite microparticles (TSZMs) can effectively catalyze the reduction of H(2)O(2), leading to an enzymeless H(2)O(2) sensor with a linear detection range from 100 μM to 40 mM (r = 0.994) and a detection limit of 0.5 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3.
متن کاملTiO2 Supported on HZSM-11 Zeolite as Efficient Catalyst for the Photodegradation of Chlorobenzoic Acids
The photocatalytic decomposition of 2-, 3and 4-chlorobenzoic acids (2CB, 3CB and 4CB, respectively) with TiO2 loaded on HZSM-11 zeolite was investigated. The optimum decomposition rate of 2CB was obtained with TiO2/HZSM-11(30%) (TiO2 30 wt.%) catalyst at a concentration of 1 mg mL. 2CB and 3CB decompose at similar rates, but 4CB remains adsorbed on TiO2/HZSM-11(30%) without further degradation....
